Center for Healing & Hope’s first ever Community Posada on December 2nd at the Maple City Conference and Event Center was a huge success! This first time around we were going to be happy if around 100 people attended, but we estimate about 450 people came during the 2 hour event! Our goal was simple – give thanks for our community and create a welcoming environment where all of God’s children can come and celebrate the season.

We gave away 600 tamales, over 200 cups of hot chocolate/champurrado/ponche navideño, 100 conchas, 100 children’s gift bags, 100 winter hats/gloves, and around 150 books.

All of these items were FREE thanks to our generous sponsors – Janette Amstutz RE/MAX Results, Veada by Lippert, DeliaMar Mega-Shop, Goshen Public Library (Goshen, Indiana).

Thank you to all who attended. Thank you to Manny Cortez and Oscar Molina at the Maple City Conference and Event Center. Thank you to Neil Amstutz and Father Royce Gregerson for blessing the event and speaking about the importance of the season. Thank you to our Nurse Practitioner Cyndi Weyers for donating the hats/gloves. Thank you to Myron at The Electric Brew for loaning us a Cambro. Thank you to our sponsors who made this event possible. And a special thank you to the volunteers that worked the event, we could not have done it without you!

We look forward to continuing this tradition and preparing for an even bigger celebration next year!
